Bhindi Masala

Today I cooked Bhindi masala as side dish for curd rice,dosai & Chapathi.. This Side dish is recommended by my sister-in-law.  Actually  Somebody brought this recipie for lunch in her office. She shared this recipie with me. So, Today I tried  this Bhindi masala as side dish for curd rice.


Onion -1(Sliced)
Tomato - 1(Chopped)
Green Chillies - 2 Slit
Ladies finger - 250 grams

1 tsp oil - for frying bhindi

For Spice Powder:-

Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1 1/2 tsp

For Seasoning:-

Oil - 2 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp

Wash lady's finger and cut it into large pieces as we cut it for Sambar.  Heat Oil and Saute lady's finger. when it comes to brown, take it and keep it aside.

In another pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds & cumin seeds. When it splutters, add onions, green chillies, Tomato, Spice Powder and cook it till the tomato gets mushy.

Now add lady's finger , stir it until it becomes soft.

 It is a perfect side dish for Chapathi, rice, dosa.
